MILKA PIETIKAINEN
Milka Pietikainen is a founding director of Threefold with fifteen years of corporate responsibility and sustainability experience, building on an early career working in PR, corporate communications and investor relations. Milka was previously Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Nokia Siemens Networks and Vice President of Corporate Responsibility and Social Investment at Millicom, a leading telecommunications and media company operating in Latin America and Africa.
Milka’s recent clients include Amer Sports, Intersport, Orange, UNICEF, and Verizon. She serves as a Technical Expert to the Partnership to End Violence Against Children.
Earlier in her career, Milka held several positions at Nokia in corporate communications and at the Press Department of the Foreign Ministry of Finland. She holds a Masters in Journalism from the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland, and a degree in Media Studies from the University of Sussex in the UK. Milka speaks fluent Finnish, English and French.
ANNETTE FERGUSSON
Annette Fergusson is a founding director of Threefold, having previously been Vodafone Group’s Head of Sustainable Business. In that role, she led Vodafone’s Sustainable Business Strategy with a particular focus on the transformational impact of digital networks and services on society and the environment. For over 10 years, Annette was responsible for Vodafone’s human rights programme addressing issues including privacy and freedom of expression and labour standards in the supply chain.
Annette’s recent clients include BT Group, Helios Towers, The LEGO Group, Navico, Statkraft, and the GSMA Foundation. She is a member of Edentree’s Responsible Investment Advisory Panel.
Before joining Vodafone, Annette held a number of roles at the sustainable development charity Forum for the Future and, prior to that, at BP. She has a Masters in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University.

DIETER CARSTENSEN
Dieter is a 20-year e-safety and child rights expert with previous global leadership positions at the LEGO Group and Save the Children. He brings considerable expertise in defining and implementing strategic and impactful e-safety initiatives.
LUCY CONNELL
Lucy is an independent consultant specialising in environmental sustainability and climate change. She works with us on projects that involve developing and delivering climate change strategies, green innovation, supply chain sustainability and environmental reporting and target setting.
MARINA WILLIAMS
Marina has over 18 years of experience in the practical implementation of sustainability, ESG and climate change disclosures and reporting frameworks; and making them a valuable management tool to build company-wide commitment to sustainability and to navigate ESG risks and opportunities.
